The reason behind this I feel is due to PCLinuxOS shipping all of the Restricted Formats out of the box. In other words, watching movies, dvd's, listening to mp3s, flash, and all of that is installed with the distro. I am somewhat happy to see a KDE distro leading the way in recent updates, but then again Distrowatch doesn't mean more people are using PCLinuxOS either, it just means more people are clicking on the link to read more about it. I have also tried out PCLinuxOS, and out of the box it does offer everything a lot of people want, including the restricted kernel drivers. The main theme reminds me 100% of XP as well which is kind of odd. It is a RPM based distro, but utilizes Apt and Synaptics, which blew my mind a bit. -- Richard A.
