There is some valid criticism. For anyone who hasn't listened to it,
they have started doing a rant bit where they discusssed how Vista has
been marketing flop, and Linux has not taken advantage of it.
Basically, they felt that marketing needs to quit writing web pages
that focus on new versions of Gnome or Open Office. Advertising better
printer installation doesn't inspire the average user. Instead, start
marketing Ubuntu (or whatever distribution) as the coolest piece of
technology out there. Get the average user excited about trying out
something new and different.

The question here is really if the community can do that. Or do you
need someone like Canonical or Red Hat to take charge and come up with
a vision to drive that kind of marketing?
