I originally sent this from the wrong address yesterday, so I am resending it today so you all konw a little bit more about who I am
Greetings to all from northern Arkansas I just joined the marketing team last night, although I am not new to marketing. I did Internet marketing for almost 10 years and did a marketing newsletter for most of that time. I am a Certified Guerrilla Marketing Master but no degree in marketing or other related field. I am a blogger writing about religion and politics mainly, although I've done some posts avout Ubuntu in the last couple of months since I switched from Windows, after many years of being part of the Borg of Redmond. I've done some browsing in Launchapd and know about Bug #1 and personally I accpet the challenge. My profile is here: https://launchpad.net/~jbotscharow My wiki is here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/JohnBotscharow I believe that we need to do with Ubuntu users what Guy Kawasaki did with early Apple users - turn them into evangelists for Ubuntu, but on a much larger scale. Word of mouth has to be the basis of our marketing. That is the only way we can compete at all with the huge amount of money that Microsoft spends each year on marketing. And that is the only way we will be able to break the MS monopoly - more on that soon. For now, I am going to listen and learn and help in whatever way I can. BTW, I'm not exactly a "kid" - LOL. I turned 60 a couple of days ago. Peace!
