Hello again, I just packaged a merge from debian. You can try it at: https://launchpad.net/~showard314/+archive/ppa
I haven't found any patches that directly address the problem, I don't know if it's been triaged fully anywhere yet. This debian merge at the PPA is just a try to see if we got lucky and something fixed it up in debian over the past year. If this works I'll post a merge proposal to debian.
