Greetings, I head the #ubuntu channel on EFnet (nick: ferro), it's growing steadily, but it's overly large yet :) Someone came into the channel asking why BitchX in Edgy depends on a mysqllib. I thought he was joking, but alas... after looking for myself I noticed that it does indeed depend on a mysql lib now:
Depends: libc6 (>= 2.4-1), libmysqlclient15off (>= 5.0.19-1), libncurses5 (>= 5.4-5) Suggests: libmysqlclient15off, x-terminal-emulator I have used BitchX since... about '94ish, and I know it doesn't "need"/"depend" on that particular mysql lib.
