Since Ubuntu has been developped, the default mail client is bittorrent. But most of the users wish a more powerful bittorrent client. In the same way of time, it doesn't be a problem for common users, and been a options factory.
Transmission in its current SVN version has all the chances to become a universe package (for feisty fawn) or the default bittorrent application. If 2 months are too shorts to translate it in many language, it can be included in universe repository to be ready for HH (ubuntu n+2 release). Way to try with safety in edgy (no extra dependency, but it doesn't respect the debian rules) : deb http://acorbeaux.free.fr/ubuntu edgy main (unsigned package)
