I suggest you file a bug about about it at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/python-libgmail/+filebug and tag it as 'upgrade'. Also it will be necessary for it to go through https://wiki.ubuntu.com/FreezeExceptionProcess#head-9523bc4076ff011324d67cddc97969ec609618d6 for whoever tries to make that upgrade.
