Hello developers,
i installed today xubuntu-8.04 on my dell d800 notebook
and tried to install a driver for my Rt2500 wifi - card.
Now i know i took the wrong driver, nevertheless the compiling
of the modules worked finally out when i was followed the steps below.
1. I installed the modeule "rt2500-source"
2. In the directory /usr/src/modules/rt2500 i typed
"make" and got as result
Error: function SET_MODULE_OWNER(); in 254 within rtmp_main.c
not defined
3. I fixed it by disbling this line by '//'
4. after typing make,
several .o and .ko files were compiled without any error
