Yes, and that's the down side of using a DVCS, but at least the 
information that is missing from the source package is available 
_somewhere_ ( in the vcs ).  If you just modify the original sources 
directly without a patch system, then you don't have the information 
(detailed description of each patch, delineation between each patch ) 
_anywhere_.
