Hello,
I'm trying to use pyinstaller (http://pyinstaller.python-hosting.com/) to
prepare a Python Pmw app for delivery. Because of Pmw's dynamic loader, it
needs special treatment in order to get all the modules included in the final
executable. This is all documented in the pyinstaller documentation (available
in the pyinstaller tar ball, under doc/Manual.html#pmw-python-mega-widgets),
which mentions a tool that is supposed to come with Pmw, namely bundlepmw.py.
I was not able to find bundlepmw.py after installing the python-pmw package on
my Ubuntu system. I did, however, find it in the tar balls available from
SourceForge. My question is this: why is bundlepmw.py (in .../bin), and, for
that matter, the other contents (in .../contrib, .../demos, and .../tests) not
available in the debian package? Could this be corrected in the future? Or
perhaps I have not found the right package yet, and you can tell me which one
it is.
Many thanks,
Allen B. Taylor
