Re: Bug #571461 This may sound odd (or not, I'm new!), but there's a package that has a broken binary (it won't run properly) but if I download the source for the package it compiles just fine on my computer and runs properly.
The source for the package gle-graphics (ver. 4.2.1-2) builds just fine in Lucid, yielding programs that work (notably qgle), but this contrasts with what is available from the repository where apparently the package compiled against another version of one of the required libraries when it was being added to the repository (and qgle then fails). So, as far as I can tell, the gle-graphics package just needs to be recompiled against the actual Lucid libraries (instead of the versions used in November when it was compiled). How should something like this be fixed? Any assistance in fixing/rebuilding the package in question would be greatly appreciated. (And I apologize if I have hit the wrong audience, but I'm trying out working on a bug and Ubuntu MOTU was listed as the package maintainer.) -- Ubuntu-motu mailing list [email protected] Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-motu
