Start on ones that affect packages you use and that you can replicate (it's a 
great way to know when you are done).

Anything marked In Progress/Fix Committed/Fix Release there's no need to work 
on.  Bugs marked Triaged should have the best information to get started on 
fixing, but there's nothing wrong with working on New/Confirmed bugs if you 
can figure out what needs doing.

If a fix seems potentially controversial, mention in the bug what you're 
planning on doing so it won't come as a suprise.
