hello MOTU maintainers, I am the Debian maintainer of the 'freeplane' package. In Debian, I fixed a bug with java8 in the dependency package libjsyntaxpane-java 0.9.6~r156-5 in 2014.
Unfortunately, you updated freeplane to 1.3.12 in 14.04.2, but you did not update libjsyntaxpane-java to 0.9.6~r156-5 (and I forgot to add a strict depends:): http://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords=libjsyntaxpane-java&searchon=names&suite=all§ion=all --> Can you pull libjsyntaxpane-java 0.9.6~r156-5 in 14.04 (it does not have any dependencies)?
