Hi MOTUs,

I have been stuck on a packaging problem for a while.

If this isn't the best place to post, please let me know where would be
better.

Overview.

This is a complicated bit of software that I didn't write. It uses the
autoconf tools to compile and it uses the QT libraries for the GUI. I
have, in the past, had trouble compiling this code on my local machine
usually around the QT libraries as most of the other dependencies are
included. Other scientists would like to use this package but the less
computer savy have trouble compiling from source. I would like them to be
able to `apt-get` the package so it can reach a wider audience.

I am hosting a copy of the source code here
https://github.com/marrabld/planarrad and it includes the debian directory
I am using to package it. On my local machine I am doing:

dpkg-buildpackage -S -k75FDFDE0
cd ..
sudo pbuilder build planarrad_30-0.dsc

And it successfully builds in pbuilder. but when I dput the .changes file
I later get an email saying that the build failed. This is the latest
build report.

https://launchpadlibrarian.net/209384291/buildlog_ubuntu-vivid-i386.planarrad_30-0_BUILDING.txt.gz

It seems it is having trouble locating the QT libraries again. I have been
stuck on this problem for quite some time and would greatly appreciate some
help. I am a packaging and compiling noob trying to learn this stuff.

Regards
