I am sending this via email directly as I have a stale result when attempting
login at launchpad.net.

Please note: I am using a USB flash drive with Ubuntu 12.04.5 LTS.

Recently, when I used USC to add the chromium-browser to my Ubuntu 12.04.5 LTS
session, it updated the browser to version 48.0.2564.109-0ubuntu0.12.04.1.987
from version 37.0.2062.120 which according to
http://packages.ubuntu.com/precise/chromium-browser is listed as:

Package: chromium-browser (37.0.2062.120-0ubuntu0.12.04.2) [security] [universe]

Upon launching version 48.0.2564.109-0ubuntu0.12.04.1.987, I experience the
following problem:

ubuntu@ubuntu:~/Desktop$ chromium-browser -version
/usr/lib/chromium-browser/chromium-browser:
/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.18' not found
(required by /usr/lib/chromium-browser/chromium-browser)
/usr/lib/chromium-browser/chromium-browser:
/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.18' not found
(required by /usr/lib/chromium-browser/libs/libnet.so)
/usr/lib/chromium-browser/chromium-browser:
/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.19' not found
(required by /usr/lib/chromium-browser/libs/libskia.so)

Since this problem has yet to be addressed, could someone at Ubuntu/Canonical
please investigate this problem and either complete the upgrade of the
chromium-browser in the the USC, and thus upgrade the information at
http://packages.ubuntu.com/precise/chromium-browser, or revert the change to
the USC to keep the chromium-browser working at its current level of version
37.0.2062.120-0ubuntu0.12.04.2, or advise me as to what packages need upgrading
to make chromium-browser version 48.0.2564.109-0ubuntu0.12.04.1.987 work
without the above problem.

I have attached the file pkgs-1523.list to indicate which packages I have added
to my Ubuntu 12.04.5 LTS USB flash drive session FYI in helping me to correct
this problem.

Thanks,
