watchdog package seems to be broken at least since Ubuntu 15.04 and
is definitely broken in Ubuntu 16.04 (see for example bug #1448924 or
bug #1535854) - watchdog service can no longer be started automatically
at boot time because the watchdog module (i use iTCO_wdt) cannot be
loaded. None of these bugs seem to have been assigend to anyone of the
ubuntu team. I think the watchdog package is vital for many ubuntu
servers without constant supervision.
So, are there plans to fix these bugs in the new ubuntu LTS version 16.04?
