I assume you mean in the 16.04 (Xenial) release. You can see two Appstream errors for siril here: http://appstream.ubuntu.com/xenial/universe/issues/siril.html However, this appears to have been fixed for Yakkety (to be released as 16.10): http://appstream.ubuntu.com/yakkety/universe/issues/siril.html As that site says, it is still a good idea to provide an appdata.xml file to control the information the user sees. You can also include a link to a donations page etc. :-) I think it should be installed into the /usr/share/metainfo/ directory.
