Hi all, I am one of the maintainers of vulkan-loader in Gentoo. I am working with the development team to make a change to the default installation location of the vulkan layers. The change will move it from sysconfdir to datarootdir.
I wanted to give you all a heads up, and to make sure that your builds will search /usr/share for the vulkan-loader files.
