I suggest that you start by asking the Debian maintainer in the Debian bug that is requesting the update. See: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=940969 The bug looks like it hasn't been updated in about three months, but the maintainer did indicate back then that the update was imminent. As soon as this is uploaded to Debian, Ubuntu's infrastructure will automatically sync, attempt a build and update to the next Ubuntu release provided that this happens before Feb 27th. Alternatively we can update the package in Ubuntu ahead of Debian in order to make our release. This will need someone to volunteer to prepare and maintain the packaging until it can be brought into sync with Debian again. Hope this helps, Robie
