Heh, sorry. I don't know why I've been such a sarcastic jerk lately. It was just a really bizarre thing to read, considering that there are some Qml applications which are currently working *better* on the desktop than they are on the phone. So that's already a thing. Not some rumour started by one dev. As far as I can tell, the Qml implementation is itself "complete" on both the desktop and the phone (at least, it's complete enough that you can write an application that runs and looks nice. perhaps there are a few details left to be ironed out, but things are essentially functional). It's just a matter of writing the apps now. > My bad. Well, I can't speak for the whole company in any official capacity, but my impression as a low-level grunt is that there is a large internal push to move away from Python, so I doubt you'll be seeing anybody from Canonical developing Qml bindings for Python any time soon. I personally think it would be nifty to see the community work towards that kind of goal, though. I also think it would be nifty to see some Clojure bindings... ;-) -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.12 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with undefined - http://www.enigmail.net/ iQIcBAEBAgAGBQJRSn/9AAoJEMnVpoCaWglEyxoQAKoFW/hkPlQG7kZOnu342xgc cN6MGmLpGOiwrVWHKLIZKjaspBx86+UzCHfp1O80z2R1gjeOTkBeARfOdbiQS6Mk yctDgy0pw8F29cCGigER9Rr3NernZLvDLr4cK3RWuUQcPqtPNeb48B6/LsCZ5896 UXwQGYq2wck1t0kdniH0mLO0P7c7FXOC8pwcdvABIQNyE3QbChn/Rm14rPozOgTY baRymfRwzNi2dC7HhgxppR9QBVGrVKA4zV9mS20GzXqMOltV4RUB7Js4t295oZCm RU83Wy3hvTEIVYY5HOTK7VetYbd6Qe4+f3TQnLGVSa7Q0RbAXX7UP9DJ7K/C3zzs 3iQPjvtiBEYp8IIGmfpiP0xxW4L5977pK1Xb3aEoW7+EekJEFrz/XL95+ipNjDtY ziCmDDvF2jNQf9pl+2F169MpQ/K+z3qVlkM574sSQIz0ZdmHPVbJ9QJkzyHhvotl ATZ5wbAJ+IUjV3ZVOiFqJjYZw0qW9P7LIOzcKe/kzqHk4X1d1wMiPZobgolJqTg8 ZdpG7+cnLLjwZn/SbplToRAD8po436JWZdpNU4MHkrTfxTRg8ENyIT+dZQrKvNea GGqw2ht954GqiYOWjZeZHrrNPPTHX0wOg/mAJv7st6e9X4Me1abuig2m6VBSh5a3 +2sCKFFJ+9gyocnOIC90 =iy8Q -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-phone Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-phone More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
