there're quite many reasons for heating, such as a large app is running
underway. If the app is running correctly, there would be no info in the dmsg.
So you might check with ps in adb shell to see if there's some process unusual.
Or using some appmanager or system monitor to check.

So it appears that the device knows it is overheating, but it's not helping any
