Hello, My team and I are developing a Bible app for Ubuntu Touch [1]. We would like to have audio Bibles, either by providing the audio files or by using text-to-speech.
My question is, how should this be integrated into the UI in a way that meets the design guidelines? I would like to be able to read along with the audio (having the current verse highlighted) as it plays, so I want the audio controls integrated with the Bible reading page. Here are the ideas I've come up with so far: 1) Have a "Listen" button that makes a panel slide down out of the page's header containing the controls. 2) When the "Listen" button is pressed, the toolbar gets replaced with the audio controls. I like option 1 best, but don't know if this is follows the design guidelines or not. Any thoughts on this?
