Hello everyone, As expected, no image promotions happening today - but we're currently getting rid of most of the blockers without any new ones appearing. Today we have landed Ubuntu UI Toolkit staging which, besides many features and changes, also includes 2 important fixes for our blockers. Unity8 is ready for release as well. If these landings won't cause any new issues, there is hope for a promotable image tomorrow.
We have asked Dave, our dogfooding QA expert, to perform some base testing on the last proposed image and the tests had overall positive results. No blocking regressions spotted. We will of course revisit dogfooding-based testing when all current blockers are resolved. We expect an image built as soon as all our fixes are landed in the archive. As a reminder: if we won't be able to promote an image tomorrow, Monday will be the first day of another TRAINCON-0. We will also make it very rigorous, as we need to get back to a promotable shape before RTM ASAP. And having at least 1-2 promotions a week on a per-week basis is our goal.
