Hi Daniel, I could be missing something, but owncloud does support https - currently that's the authentication I'm using for my own cloud server.
Its still password based (meaning we need to store it somewhere), but it can be done over a secure (ish) connection. Would be great however if we're able to have some functionality to work with self-signed certificates - either by forcing them as default, or having a popup to accept them if we need to. Otherwise, great work!
