Hello everyone! We're back with our daily landing team e-mails this week.
There has been a lot happening last week. Many of us gathered in one place to discuss and work on all the different things we need to get done before our images get the expected quality. There have been many good landings happening during that time: improving performance, fixing crashers, orientation - and also power management (which decreases battery usage by a lot!). For more information about what landed please check the commitlogs provided below (in the links to all available commitlogs). This week our plan is to have another quality image promoted for ubuntu-rtm. We will be proceeding according to the old procedures, so working closely with QA to make sure the images are blocker free. On the 30th we will do a 'cut-off' and block any non-blocker landings from happening until the promoted image is achieved. Let's hope we get the quality good enough until that time. We're reminding all upstreams to mind their autopilot tests. As per earlier announcement, you can get all the links to smoketesting dashboards here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LandingTeam/Smoketesting Some of the links for those are also visible below. Make sure you have someone looking at the tests all the time. Automation is one of the keys to our success. We're also trying to formalize all processes for both the landings and QA, with adding missing documentation for each step. This is still in progress, but there will be an announcement whenever we're done. And one last mention: even though vivid is open and development is ongoing, currently we have no Ubuntu Touch images building for this series. This was failing due to builder issues on armhf, which have been partially fixed. We will get the rest of fixes in by tomorrow and new images will start appearing. For now: please concentrate on ubuntu-rtm/14.09 please!
