Hi!

Which channel are you using? I suppose it's devel-proposed, right? Do
you know which image you have upgraded to? Image #10 from
devel-proposed/vivid-proposed had some issues that made it unbootable,
but #11 *should* now be better. You can use the ubuntu-device-flash tool
which by default should not alter your userdata.

Please remember: the -proposed channels are mainly for developers, so
situations when the image does not boot can happen relatively
frequently. It is not recommended using it for your main device.
