Hello everyone, A very strange day! We had two important landings today, but it seems that due to infrastructure and other issues those didn't end up in any image yet. Silo 16 for ubuntu-rtm has been released (big change, new upower/powerd) but some of the packages got stuck in -proposed. We are resolving this now and once that happens we will kick a new image for the 14.09-proposed channel.
Also, the reported issues scopes issues that have been visible in vivid images starting #45 have now been resolved, with the new unity8 successfully migrating to the release pocket. A devel-proposed image with this change is now building and should be available in the nearest 2 hours. NOTICE! Even though last week we have mentioned that we're not aiming for an ubuntu-rtm promotion this week, QA will be picking up an image to perform regression testing before EOW anyway. There will be no landing freeze this week not to slow down velocity, but a selected image will be built on Wednesday that will be tested promotion-wise. Please make sure you land all the most important changes before Wednesday! This way your changes will be tested for regressions, making sure the image next week will be top-quality. Another thing worth noting is that this week we are a little bit blind and crippled. Due to some infrastructure works we cannot get any autopilot smoketesting results for any of the images. We also have trouble getting new krillin images... But besides that, from preliminary QA testing vivid looks pretty good now, which means we might be in a promotable state pretty soon. But for now - let's all concentrate on ubuntu-rtm!
