Hello Ubuntu people! While many are still having their well earned vacations this week, here's what's happening and what's next.
So far there have been ~20 bug fix landings to the ubuntu-rtm this year thanks to among else QA working hard through the backlog: https://lists.canonical.com/archives/rtm-14.09-changes/2015-January/thread.html The next ubuntu-rtm milestone is planned for next Thursday, 2015-01-15. Deadline for rtm silos to be both ready and upstream tested is on Tuesday. Please don't rush many landings on Tuesday though, since otherwise not everything can be QA'd and will not be included. Monday is much better :) On the vivid side there have mostly been a lot of general Ubuntu updates, but big landings like Mir 0.10 and Unity 8 fixes are also brewing in the landing silos. In the last days before holidays an upload was made that fixed SDK vivid target but broke other things. All suggested solutions that didn't mean breaking SDK again were found suboptimal, but fortunately today we could revert the offending packaging change thanks to a Click workaround that keeps also SDK users happy. This also means we just got the first vivid image of the year #59 to devel-proposed, enjoy!
