Hello everyone, Ubuntu-rtm testing continues! So far QA found only one potential blocker related to repeating alarms not showing up properly after going off once [1]. We are still waiting on a final decision from management on what to do with that, so we will decide on what happens next tomorrow. But the fix is in progress as we speak.
In the meantime landings continue in Vivid. One of the more interesting uploads was a new qtmir which decreased the SIGSTOP delay from 3 seconds to 1.5. This would be visible when switching out of games or applications with an active audio stream. Be sure to check if everything still works fine for your applications. As everyone noticed we had slight issues with one of our ubuntu-rtm images due to a package disappearing from the filesystem. Things are now all ok and it is safe to upgrade. We will make sure that we protect from such situations happening ever again.
