Hi Carlos,
There are a few differences between desktop PCs and smartphones. One of
them is that when you want to install a smartphone operating system on
a device, you first need to port its drivers as they aren't included in
the Linux kernel by default.
Therefore, if you want to install Ubuntu on your Lenovo smartphone, you
will have to go through a serious amount of porting work. That's
definitely not going to be easy but if you still want to give it a try,
I recommend waiting until the beginning of next week when, according to
their announcement, they are going to release the new porting guide.
Cheers,
Niklas

I'm looking for a way to install Ubuntu Touch for Lenovo A706
Smartphone. Hope this is possible.
Please if anyone knows how to do it, I will appreciate it.
Thanks.
