Hello everyone, Landing gates continue to be closed. We didn't start image testing yet since there is still the Unity8 hang-on-boot bug that didn't get fixed properly. Even though on devel-proposed it only happens once every ~30 bootups, we cannot risk having such a regression in a 'stable candidate' image. The biggest problem is that we don't even know exactly where the right fix should land - the Qt patch-approach resulted in additional regressions which we need to avoid.
Until the issue is resolved the gates will be closed and we will only land critical fixes. But we already had a few great ones making its way to the overlay PPA - a new oxide-qt, location fixes and other important 'blocking' changes. After we're done with testing the RC next week, we will switch focus to preparing both the hot-fix and then the vivid-based OTA's.
