According to the porting guide, I'm supposed to have something like, kernel/[manufacturer]/[codename]/arch/arm/configs/ cyanogenmod_[codename]_defconfig
In the cyanogenmod repo of for my phone, that folder kernel exists, yet in the aosp tree of my phone maker (sony), i'm told the kernels are 'precompiled' thus there's no folder of that sort.
