Dear all, I have seen that Displaylink finally wants to support its products on Linux and is planning to release a Linux driver in Q3 2015, have a look here: http://displaylink.org/forum/showpost.php?p=77618&postcount=177
Is this pure coincidence or does this mean that the new convergence phone from BQ will also make use of Displaylink to support the convergence feature on an external screen and thus Displaylink changed their mind ;-)? What kind of connection to an external screen will the new convergence device use? Can we expect that the BQ 4.5 / 5 phones will also support Displaylink in the future, so that the convergence feature will also work with them? Or do they have not enough computing capacity to run an Ubuntu desktop? If anybody could shed some light on this, even if it is more or less speculation, I would appreciate it out of curiosity. Best regards, Marco -- Marco A. Harrendorf
