I understand that the gcc5 silos have now been freed, but bear in mind that most of the C++-based components are going to still be stuck in -proposed for a couple more days while we work out the issues with getting things installable across the archive. Since silos are not normally freed until the packages have landed in wily, and this is something that's not under control of the landers, I think we need to be a bit creative in solving this problem. Can we consider the g++ transition a special case, and ask for silos to be merge-and-cleaned now if they've been published to wily-proposed - trusting that they'll be shepherded the rest of the way on the archive side?
