Hello everyone, Feature freeze for OTA-7! Today we had more velocity in the landing world: a new Unity8 landed with fixes and enhancements, mostly for cases when running in desktop mode. Unity-system-compositor released a fix for issues with the power button not blanking/unblanking the screen. We also had two new webbrowser-app landings (adding some context menus to tabs + others) and some pocket-desktop focused releases (xorg-server and libertine).
It seems not all planned features will be available for OTA-7 as everyone is focusing on bugfixes and performance enhancements. Developers are also looking into the recently mentioned rc-proposed location regressions, hopefully to be fixed for this release. Fingers crossed. This week we will also be switching all wily-parts of dual landings to go to the stable phone overlay instead of the main archive.
