Hello everyone! Not too much movement on the rc-proposed front today, with only a new location-service landing bundled with code-refactoring, tests and a fix. We also still can't say anything concrete about the OTA-8.5 hotfix release timeline since we don't have all required fixes ready yet - most importantly the dbus signals freezing the UI. We hope to have all we need till the end of the week.
That being said, there was some exciting movement on the xenial (devel-proposed) side of Ubuntu Touch though. Today Timo published a new upstream version of Qt along with all its components - 5.5! Great work! Too bad currently our devel images have multiple issues so testing might be a bit more difficult. We're slowly trying to put some more work into getting the quality of xenial a bit better, but it's hard considering all the new features and bugfixes already planned for rc-proposed. Also, remember that Ubuntu Touch is an open project for everyone.
