Hello everyone, Our road towards convergence continues! So far OTA-9.5 preparation is still in progress but, because we're slowly seeing that the list of new required changes is getting bigger and bigger, we're starting to consider skipping this update in favour of OTA-10 - as 9.5 no longer really seems like a 'hotfix' release anymore. Currently this is only an option - we'll be able to plan this better next week. So don't consider this as anything official.
In the meantime our overlay-ppa got a new powerd, fixing one of the bigger crashers on errors.ubuntu.com [1] and a new mir+compositor landing with improved logging for investigation of the annoying critical bug encountered in OTA-9 [2]. The next rc-proposed image should have both changes. Another news item for all developers/landers using the CI Train: since we were slightly low on silos recently, today Robert added 20 more PPAs to the train changing the overall count to 81. This is of course temporary until support for ephemeral PPAs is added to the CI Train, but still - this should add some additional 'space' for development! Also remember: OTA-10 landing gates are open. We have the snapshot-ppa for any possible OTA-9.5 re-spins so feel free to submit your landings for that milestone. Have a great weekend!
