It seems it's an open source Android app working with Mi Band and Pebble.

The Mi Band firmware itself seems to be proprietary... But it seems someone
is trying some alternatives :

Hope this helps a little. Another blocking thing is that Mi Band only
supports bluetooth 4 LE.
