I've tested a traditional pidgin.desktop file what was working without libertine and now with the process of the libertine chroot from ps aux.
test of xmir pidgin.desktop and pidgin.sh for libertine chroot pidgin: http://paste.ubuntu.com/15511168/ Important is Exec= and Xmir and the log seems now to be far ahead but the short start of the app only appears for some seconds of the start screen.
