I have here a test version of the SIP client baresip for testing

The installation does not need root access or making your system
writeable; just run
$ cd ~phablet
$ tar xzf bq-baresip.tgz
create a file with you SIP account in ~/.baresip/accounts with a line
like this one:
iptel <sip:username:[email protected]>;answermode=auto
and start the SIP client in the terminal-app as:
$ ~/baresip/baresip.sh
Unpacked in /home/phablet, created account file my SIP info, ran
baresip.sh got:
error while loading shared libriries: libre.so: cannot open shared
object file: No such file or directory
Thx,
Eran
it should at least register with your SIP server; to solve is still the
audio problem; any comments or help is welcome.
