Hello everyone, A bit more exciting day in the landing world today. We finally landed the big unity8 indicator-keyboard support silo (consisting of multiple packages, such as unity8, qtubuntu, unity-api, indicator-keyboard and more). That being said we still need to land one more silo with a follow-up design change before the new indicator can be added to the touch seeds - hopefully at max tomorrow for the Feature Freeze. Besides that we also had a new bugfix release of ubuntu-app-launch, a new platform-api, a new messaging-app with small design changes (and some workaround removals) and dialer-app with a new header and bottom-edge. As you can see, today was quite busy - you can almost feel that Feature Freeze is right around the corner!
We're also experimenting with backporting golang 1.6 to the vivid overlay [1] (or rather forward-porting, since trusty has 1.6 as an alternative as well) for the few go-based touch projects we use. It seems the new upstream version fixes a few outstanding issues (like MMS problems) with those components. We're not sure if this will be able to land for OTA-13 though with all the deadlines so close.
