I hesitate to suggest this, but what the heck. In this case the developer used a -dev framework and never updated to the supported release version.
Look for its manifest at /opt/click.ubuntu.com/"name of the dashboard app"/current/.click/info/*.manifest You can modify the manifest file for this app to remove the "-dev" from the framework and it will reappear after a reboot. I submitted a bug but the app has not been updated in some time. Maybe someone can pick up support for it.
