I think none of those packages should be included into plf. Rather work with the MOTU Team and get that uploaded to ubuntu archive. "Working with the MOTU Team" basically means preparing a source package and show it to some MOTU (e.g. me). We'll look at them, try to build them and upload it to the archive. Then the package will be built on all architectures and reporting bugs via malone will be possible. I had a closer look about rar. Marillat has a package called "rar-2.80". You can download it from here: ftp://ftp.nerim.net/debian-marillat/pool/main/r/rar/. dvdrip in ubuntu is also referencing a package called "rar-2.80". The problem why we don't have a "rar-2.80" package in ubuntu, is because marillat named the sourcepackage "rar". We already have a sourcepackage called "rar", but is is building version 3.30. So what I'm gonna do is repackage marillats rar package so that we get rar-2.80 into ubuntu. If you notice other anomalies like that, please report that to us, preferably via email or irc (channel #ubuntu-motu). -- regards, Reinhard _______________________________________________ Ubuntu-PLF_discuss mailing list [email protected] https://www.zarb.org/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-plf_discuss
