Chris et la, I am open to forgoing regular meetings. I don't want to close off a communication channel if people find it helpful. The current meeting info is generally repeated to the list at some point, since many cannot attend. However, on occasion, realtime help and understanding is gained. Perhaps the #ubuntu-testing channel being manned and the mailing list is enough. As I said, I'm open to all suggestion on this :-)

Thanks,

Nicholas

Greetings,

Is a meeting even needed at this point in time? Are there enough things
that get discussed with enough people at the meeting to discuss them, or
should discussions just take place on the ML where people have more time
to reply? Another option would be to just hold a monthly meeting and
hopefully more people could attend, and hold most discussion through the ML.

If a meeting is needed, my fear with trying to do meetings using
hangouts is that you will quickly meet the limits set by Google on
hangouts. I would say that IRC is probably the best way to hold meetings.

I think that using Hangouts on Air would be a great idea for doing
training and such where a couple of people could 'run' a training
session on how to do something, which people could watch live, and it
will be available later for others who are unable to 'attend' the
training live.

I would like to discuss and hear options for how we meet as a community
in "realtime". Currently we're using IRC for this, but I know the timing
and format doesn't work out well for many of you. Suggestions have been
made to use streamed google hangouts in conjunction with IRC, or
something else. I'd like your feedback on our format for this in
addition to voicing your opinion on when we should meet by voting in
this poll. We had a poll last cycle and ended up at a current day and
time, but few who voted have found the time convenient :-) Don't forget
to select your timezone before filling in the times! In addition what
does everyone think about reducing the time to 30 mins? I'd like to
respect everyone's time and make it easier to attend, so I propose we
only plan to meet for 30 mins.
