Pertinent info from ubiquity team -- I know many of you found bugs around this.

Subject: Background in ubiquity

In the beginning of the cycle there was a bug that displayed black
screen instead of the default wallpaper when launching ubiquity in
"greeter mode" (Try or Install buttons visible) or in the "Install
now" mode directly from boot options.

I have now tested ubuntu, lubuntu, xubuntu and believe the bug is fixed.

If there are flavours which do not display correct background, please
open a bug:
- against package ubiquity
- clearly stating which flavour
- clearly stating image build-datestamp
- stating / showing which background is shown (prefferably a
screenshot, photograph or text description)
- stating / showing the expected background (e.g. file path on the image)
- target the bug to "Raring series"

The easiest is to probably open the bug via http://iso.qa.ubuntu.com

Regards,

Dmitrijs.
