The bug report does say what to do, and is basically turning cups on. Sudo start cups. Maybe this needs to be put in the realise notes on the wiki.

More people marking it as affecting them won't change the expiration.  I 
haven't looked at this bug, so I can't give you specifics, but generally 
someone should have said in the bug report what's needed.  If it's not clear, 
I'd recommend asking in #uubntu-bugs on IRC.
