James, this is "as-designed" so therefore isn't a bug in the quality
sense, but most certainly is a potential issue from a usability/design
perspective. I'd encourage you to file a bug discussing the issue and
filing it against software updater.

If you have no internet connection and software updater runs it gives an error message "check your
internet connection" this then gives two options "settings..." And "OK".
When clicking on "OK" the application quits out.
Should the application just quit? Or should the application retry/restart?
When clicking on "Settings..." The application loads up the settings page for
"Software and Updates".
Should the error message not allow the user to click settings and go to
connection manager to resolve the internet connection issue?
