I upgraded my laptop that way when we hit 12.10 Beta. If ISO testing
is preferred, I can do that instead.

We are currently testing ISO 13.10 Beta, so 12.10 Beta will not be fine
for testing your laptop.
You can test using a live USB key or a live CD instead, that would be
very helpful too.
