These uploads contained rebases for upstream v3.2.3, v3.2.4, and v3.2.5. Additional fixes included support for new broadcom bluetooth devices, mtip32xx driver updates, vga_switcheroo support for models with nvidia optimus hybrid graphics, fixes for radeon issues on MacBook Pro 8,2, and misc regression fixes and config updates. We also have been tracking the latest upstream releases in our ubuntu-q git repo [1]. This has most recently been rebased to the latest upstream v3.3-rc3 kernel. Again, this repository is strictly for development and testing purposes only and will be completely unsupported until we officially release Precise and the Q development cycle begins. We are above our Beta-1 trend line but should be closing out a few tasks relatively soon to drop us below the line. The remaining work items are not release critical. [1] git://kernel.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ubuntu-q.git == What's about to land that might impact the other teams? == We plan to send out an RFC regarding dropping support for the non-smp powerpc flavor. We will post to the kernel-team and ubuntu-devel mailing lists for feedback/discussion before making any changes. === Release Notes === == Summary of bugs working on by team (reasonably reliable) == Aside from the immediate bugs/issues we resolved this week, we're also keeping an eye on the following bugs: * Bug:818830 - [Sandy Bridge] serious power regression from kernel 3.0.0-6 to 3.0.0-7 (rc6 disabled) * Bug:855124 - XRANDR operations very slow unless (phantom) HDMI1 disabled * Bug:836250 - Intel Corporation Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 poor networking * Bug:898127 - system hangs and errors at /build/buildd/linux-3.2.0/arch/x86/kernel/apic/ipi.c:113 default_send_IPI_mask_logical+0xdc/0xf0() * Bug:904297 - System crashed with latest updates * Bug:898112 - Xen performance issue: backport acpi-cpufreq.v4 branch to 3.2 kernel for Precise * Bug:912387 - [arrandale] Black screen on login regression (oneiric->precise) with external displayport monitor * Bug:745112 - [arrandale] desktop is messed up with external monitors (x86_64) * Bug:924989 - Black screen at boot on Thinkpad L520 * Bug:917330 - [i915] Black screen after resume - Dell Latitude e6510 * Bug:912992 - [snb-m-gt2+] Primary laptop display not working, external monitor works fine == Dependencies on other teams, blocking items == None. == Issues? == None. -- Ubuntu-release mailing list [email protected] Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-release
