I can also confirm this bug. Sharing NTFS simply does not work out-of- the-box on Hardy due to the permissions errors.
Using "gksudo nautilus" worked for me, as well as adding "uid=1000" to the options column in /etc/fstab. However these really are just work arounds, and neither method is ideal. What more information is necessary to get this bug to be Confirmed instead of invalid? Several people have said this is an issue for them, and I see no requests for additional information. Also, should this not be of higher priority? Many users who still need to use windows probably have files and documents stored on NTFS drives which they need to share.
